Project 1
Well not so much a modification or an upgrade as a repair. See - link to Katie's site.
Stupid thing is they had mechanics on standby fixing jeeps for cost of parts all weekend at Camp Jeep and the guy was just about to put a new sway bar link ($50) on when it dawned on me I had a set of after market quick disconnect ones at home in the garage. I told the guy thanks but no thanks and drove it home taking turns carefully. When I got home I realized what hadn't dawned on me was the fact that th pair I had in the garage were for lifted Jeeps (I was thinking ahead wen I ordered them) and wouldn't fit without the lift. Long story short I just paid $80 for the part at the dealership and installed it myself. on the up side I go some new tools out of the deal: Torque wrench, 1/2 t 3/8 socket reducer, T-60 socket, some lock tight and another new socket that I forgot the size of (~$70). Yep, I spent $150 and about an hour of time to save $50.
Project 2
Since I'm not ready to buy the new front bumper yet I decided to make the stock one look a little tougher. Got the idea from some fellow Camp Jeepers.
